About Me
I am a registered social worker with a Master of Social Work from the University of Toronto and I am registered with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers (OCSWSSW). I bring over 5 years of extensive experience from my work within a variety of community settings such as the hospital, school board, children and youth work and crisis work as a social worker and a therapist.
I came to Canada when I was 6 months old born in Sharjah, UAE and my parents are from India and like many children of immigrants - "mental health" wasn't something we really talked about. As I stepped into this field and started to learn more about mental health, I couldn't help but notice the parallels between eastern philosophies and western psychotherapy tools. I believe that we are more than just our physical form and that growing our connection to ourselves and the universe can help heal the wounds that are often associated with the emotional pain and suffering of this realm.
Outside of therapy, my own spiritual practices come from yoga, meditation, connection to nature and travelling. I also enjoy exploring and using Vedic astrology and tarot as tools to connect to the spiritual and mystic realms. I was raised vegetarian and adopted a vegan lifestyle which is fueled by my love for animals, conscious living and the environment. The ocean and early sunrises fill up my soul like nothing else. We're all here trying to understand the meaning of life, this includes holding space for our shadows as well. We then realize that darkness, is just the absence of light. I believe that the greatest journey we can take is of self-exploration to connect more deeply with our truest, most beautiful, and wise self.

"Know all the theories, master all the techniques, but as you touch a human soul be just another human soul"
